It is possible to have a great deal of knowledge about God while missing the deeper invitation of Jesus: to walk with Him\, become like Him\, and live the way He lived. \nSpiritual transformation does not begin with simply changing our behavior. It begins with abiding in Christ and growing in our relationship with Him. As we become more deeply connected to Jesus\, our desires\, priorities\, and actions begin to change. \nDisciple: The Way of Jesus is a six-week message series designed to help us move beyond simply knowing about Jesus to actually following Jesus. A disciple is not just someone who has head knowledge about Jesus; a disciple is someone who is being transformed by Jesus and learning to live the way of Jesus. \nThroughout this series\, we will explore the practices\, priorities\, and rhythms that help us grow as followers of Christ. Our goal is not simply to learn about discipleship\, but to take meaningful steps toward becoming disciples who are with Jesus\, becoming like Jesus\, and doing what Jesus did. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” row_position_desktop=”default” row_position_tablet=”inherit” row_position_phone=”inherit” overflow=”visible” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” flex_gap_desktop=”10px” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\nDiscipleship was never meant to happen alone. \nDuring the series\, participants will have the opportunity to join a Discipleship Group of 4–5 people. Groups will meet twice: \n· Once right after the series is launched\n· Once at the conclusion of the series \nThe purpose of these gatherings is to:\n1. Discuss what we are learning and how we are applying it\n2. Build meaningful relationships with other believers we may not know \nGroups will intentionally be formed to create opportunities for:\n· Same-gender relationships\n· New friendships\n· Cross-generational connections \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” flex_gap_desktop=”10px” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][toggles style=”default” border_radius=”none”][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”What if I’m already in a D-Group or Life Group? Do I still sign up?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Yes. We encourage it. This is a unique opportunity to build relationships with people outside your existing group and strengthen connections across our church family. We also want people to know they have the freedom to take a break from their D Group or Life Group in order to participate in these two group gatherings. We understand that our schedules are busy and there is only so much we can do.[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Can I participate in a group even if I miss a Sunday?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Absolutely. Since groups meet only twice\, you are welcome to participate even if you miss one of the Sunday messages. The Discipleship Guide will help you stay connected.[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”If I didn’t join a group in time for the first meeting\, can I join one for the last meeting?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]If space allows\, yes. We will do our best to connect you with a group\, but signing up before the deadline will help us create the best experience for everyone.[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Is there an age limit? Can my kids join a group?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Anyone 16 years or older is welcome to participate in a group.[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Will there be childcare?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Childcare will not be provided. We encourage groups to choose meeting times and locations that work well for everyone\, and families are welcome to make their own childcare arrangements.[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Is there any cost?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]No. Participation is free.[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Do I have to attend both group meetings?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]We encourage everyone to attend both\, but if you can only make one\, we would still love for you to participate.[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”Can we choose to keep meeting as a group after the series ends?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Absolutely\, we’re glad it was meaningful. If your group wants to keep going\, we’d love to help you take that next step by joining a Life Group or even exploring a D Group together. That way you’re not just continuing to meet but moving further along the Discipleship Pathway as a group.[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”What is expected of a group host?”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Hosts are not teachers. Their role is to contact the group\, schedule the two gatherings\, facilitate the discussion using the provided questions\, and help everyone feel welcome and included. At least two questions the host will ask at both gatherings: 1) How are you doing? 2) How is it going when it comes to practicing this week’s spiritual discipline?[/vc_column_text][/toggle][/toggles][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” row_position_desktop=”default” row_position_tablet=”inherit” row_position_phone=”inherit” overflow=”visible” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” flex_gap_desktop=”10px” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]If you are interested in joining a group for this series\, click the button below.[/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”small” button_style=”regular” button_color_2=”Accent-Color” icon_family=”none” text=”I want to join a group” url=”https://graceefc.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/355/responses/new”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
