It is possible to have a great deal of knowledge about God while missing the deeper invitation of Jesus: to walk with Him\, become like Him\, and live the way He lived. \nSpiritual transformation does not begin with simply changing our behavior. It begins with abiding in Christ and growing in our relationship with Him. As we become more deeply connected to Jesus\, our desires\, priorities\, and actions begin to change. \nDisciple: The Way of Jesus is a six-week message series designed to help us move beyond simply knowing about Jesus to actually following Jesus. A disciple is not just someone who has head knowledge about Jesus; a disciple is someone who is being transformed by Jesus and learning to live the way of Jesus. \nThroughout this series\, we will explore the practices\, priorities\, and rhythms that help us grow as followers of Christ. Discuss what we are learning and how we are applying it\n2. These groups share life together\, studying God’s word and praying for one another. \nD Groups are small groups (3-4 people\, same gender) who commit to going deeper together\, being intentionally discipled and learning to disciple others. These groups meet weekly. \nWay Groups are a temporary small group (3-4 people\, same gender) who will meet will gather twice during the six-week sermon series to talk about what you’re learning\, encourage one another\, and take meaningful steps toward following Jesus. \n[/vc_column_text][/toggle][toggle color=”Default” heading_tag=”default” heading_tag_functionality=”default” title=”What if I’m already in a D-Group or Life Group? This is a unique opportunity to build relationships with people outside your existing group and strengthen connections across our church family. We also want people to know they have the freedom to take a break from their D Group or Life Group in order to participate in these two group gatherings. Our Family Worship Service is a special time where we encourage parents and grandparents in their role of helping the next generation follow Jesus\, while giving kids the chance to worship and grow right alongside the rest of the church. \nEach service is designed with families in mind\, including kid-friendly elements\, children’s sermon notes\, and simple resources to help you keep the conversation going at home during the week. Kids age 5 and under are welcome to stay in Children’s Ministry or join their families in the service.
